Does your class love adventure, mud, water, and outdoor challenges? Then look no further!
This December, Birch Hall Adventures is proud to host its 10th Annual Adventure Mud Run, an action-packed event designed to get children active, outdoors, and having fun. Our goal has always been to create memorable experiences that encourage teamwork, resilience, and a love of physical activity in the natural environment.
We are once again opening our fields to welcome Year 5 and Year 6 pupils for an epic 1.5km mud run obstacle course packed with excitement from start to finish. Along the route, participants will tackle a variety of thrilling obstacles, with a new challenge waiting approximately every 150 metres.
Pupils will compete in mixed pairs consisting of one boy and one girl (for example, a Year 5 boy and a Year 6 girl). Many of the obstacles are designed to test communication, cooperation, and teamwork, making this much more than just a race.
Most pairs should complete the course in 20 minutes, battling through mud, water, and obstacles along the way. Teams with the fastest times will earn the best chance of securing a place in the grand final and competing for Adventure Mud Run glory.

The fastest competitors from the weekday events will be invited back with their families for our epic Finals Event.
Eligibility & Terms
- Our event is open to Year 5 and 6’s.
- Teams are to be composed of a boy and girl.
- £10 entry fee per School.
- Schools may enter as many pairs as they’d like.
- If a school would like to enter a complete class, please contact the centre for available dates.
- Hot showers & drinks are available afterwards.
- A briefing takes place at 9:30am and 12:30pm.
- Race starts are staggered and final positions will be confirmed at the end of the event.
- Marshalls will be present at each obstacle to assist and encourage if necessary.
- First aid will be available on site.
- Consent form will be required for each pupil.
- Entry forms below, must reach Birch Hall Adventures 2 weeks prior to the event. We will contact you with your invoice for entry fees.
