As a Christian charity, we understand the importance of providing a space and environment, away from our hectic lifestyles, for fun, faith and fellowship! So whether you’re looking for a relaxing weekend retreat for your church family, a venue for your annual conference, a leaders’ meeting or a long weekend away filled with activities for your Christian youth group, you’ll find everything you need here at Birch Hall Adventures.

Camping/ Bunkhouse

Accommodation is available either in our bunkhouse (6 rooms of 6 beds and 3 rooms of 3 beds) or there is plenty of space to set up tents in our field, or you may decide to use both options! The booking includes use of the toilet/ shower facilities, mini-kitchen, larger kitchen, classroom area, campfire area and adjacent field. We do have a big indoor space in our climbing barn that is suitable for meetings, worship sessions or a late night talent show! Most groups are happy to cater for themselves, but if you would like us to cater for you in any way then please contact us for more details.

Day activities

During the day we have a range of different activities to suit your needs. Your church people could sign up for climbing, archery challenges, kayaking, seal trips etc. or you may just prefer to challenge each other at a big game of rounders – our field has plenty of space!

A typical church weekend away:

As you will be the only group onsite, we can tailor the programme to your needs, but as an example for £1000 you will have:

* 2 x overnight stay from Friday evening – Sunday afternoon
* Use of the bunkhouse and camping field
* 3 activity sessions up to 12 people (more activities sessions can be booked at an extra cost)
* Use of all of the facilities
* Campfire in the evenings
* Catering / part catering is an option at an extra cost so please enquire

Maybe your church would prefer a Church Away Day instead of an overnight stay? We can accommodate you as follows:

* For access to our facilities (toilets, kitchen, kitchenette, classroom, climbing barn for meetings only, field and campfire area) – £100 per day
* For 3 x activity sessions for 12 people per session – £299 (additional sessions or people can be added at an extra cost of £10 per head)
* Fully catered (mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, BBQ dinner) – £15 per head
* BBQ dinner only – £7.50 per head which includes: burger, hotdog, crisps, basic salad
* Evening campfire – £20

Each year, we invite all the local churches in the area to join us for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. The afternoon commences, with a bring your own picnic, from 12:30 and is followed by a number of activity sessions put on by Birch Hall Adventures. We often enjoy tea and cake together around 4ish before ending our time together with some singing round the campfire.

Our next Churches Summer Day will take place on Sunday 9th July 2024 – we hope to see you there!
