Adventure Run

Would you and your family love an adventure involving lots of mud and water? Our intent is always to create a space for fun exercise and a chance for kids and adults to embrace the outdoors. Therefore we are opening our fields again and giving opportunity to journey through an epic race dotted with obstacles. The course is approximately 2.5km (for children) and 5 km (for adults) and there will be an obstacle around every 250m.

Climbing Club

Mondays 6-8pm

We operate our climbing wall as a club one evening a week for those adults and young people over 13 years (younger climbers can attend if accompanied by a responsible adult) to climb and have fun. Climbing is great exercises and good for developing muscle tone, flexibility and strength… it is great fun too!!

We have a small sociable group who would love you to come and join in. £5 per session, incl. mid-session drinks break.

Camping

During the holidays and at weekends we make use of the centre for family groups for camping and activities.  We only book the site as a whole so it is great for families and friends to get together.  The booking includes use of the mini-kitchen and classroom area, which can make a great hub for catering and dining together.  As an activity centre that offers camping, we ask that all groups book at least one activity per person during their stay in order to access the camping.

Basecamp (Duke of Edinburgh)

Basecamp is our 13-16 adventure group which focusses on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The Duke of Edinburgh Award has four parts to it: Volunteering, Skill, Physical and Expedition and all four elements can be completed at Birch Hall Adventures.  However some participants may already be involved in other activities which can count toward the scheme, such as dance or football or playing a musical instrument.

Follow the Star

Autumn Campsite

Christmas 2020 saw Birch Hall’s very first Follow the Star event. This was a family adventure in the outdoors – a trail to follow, challenges to complete and a nativity story to relive. Our families received a booklet as a remembrance of their visit. Look out for other trails coming soon.
